I've been in your position. I didn't really need to speak much in the airport, which was good. When I needed a taxi and didn't want to call, I just asked someone at the desk, they seemed like people did it all the time, so that was no big deal. If you're nervous about the actual flying part... I am terrified of flying and it was not a great experience for me, but I put on headphones and blasted some music and kept my eyes on the flight attendant. They fly every day, so if they're not looking concerned, then everything is normal and going fine. It also helped to remember that the flight was only a couple hours long and overall just a tiny blip in my life.
