Neurological vs psychological stuttering After reading a good amount of posts on here, I’ve noticed people referring to neurological stuttering, and how it’s untreatable, I felt as if I’ve muscled my way through alot of progress towards my speech over the span of 13 years with alot of the progress being credited to playing psychological mind games with myself and quite literally practicing talking when I’m alone. Would my speech impediment be considered psychological since I’ve used mind games with myself to treat it? Or neurological since it’s not fully cured and I’m assuming never will be, and it’s actually genetic in my family.
