Speech Relay & 711: Who has tried using Speech Relay and what has your experience been like? For anyone here in the community who has used the service, my understanding is the FCC delegated Speech Relay services to each state to handle, so the experience in Illinois may be different than in California than in New York... but in general, how do the calls go? You dial 711 and an agent picks up and then what... you tell the agent you are a PWS then you tell them the number you want to dial and they repeat verbatim what you say? I have a ton of questions and don't want to just call in without knowing anything about it? And for those of you who have not used Speech Relay/711, are you using something else (where either a 3rd party or AI/ASR is assisting?
