I was completely cured of stuttering, but it happened at a young age. I was a big kid and I had a lot of energy. My dad used to spank me a lot. I stuttered so badly I could barely get a word out. My mom heard that it was often caused by being too hard on kids at too young of an age. So my dad stopped spanking me, and instead would punish me in other ways. I would not get dessert if I misbehaved I completely stopped stuttering.
