I feel you :) I don't do small talk either. When I try to, I either end up stuttering or saying something completely bonkers! ​ You \*could\* grab the opportunity to say that you are appreciating what they are trying to do, but you are extremely bad at small talk because of your stutter :) Like: "I am sorry. I am terrible at small talk due to my stutter, but thanks for trying" Then you could follow up saying that you are considering moving to Scandinavia where people are much more introvert.
