From my experience, taking anything less than 1000 mg does very little to help my stutter. It's only when I take extremely high amounts of it do I notice a difference. Unfortunately, I don't understand why this is the case. Vitamin B1 is water soluble, so unless you have severe liver or kidney damage, you can take as much as you want within reason. I would suggest taking much more than 30 mg alongside magnesium!
