I found a similar comment further up this thread, so I'll just paste my reply fron there: Yes, talking slowly does help with stuttering. But *telling* a PWS to do that usually does the opposite. Personally I think by offering a 'fix', it kinda gives the impression that they have become uncomfortable with us stuttering, which really increases the tension on our part.
