>finish my sentence like most people do I think most people have a tendency to do this regardless of whether they're facing a stutterer or not. It's just part of general communication, I guess. In some settings and periods, I've had to inform those around me to not finish my sentences - since they often don't guess right, and it can add further stress to know that someon's gonna jump in as soon as there's a slight delay. Nowadays, it doesn't bother me. I'm not sure what changed, but I think I just started focusing on my own word exclusively, such that I'm working my way towards saying it regardless of whether or not someone finishes it for me.
