I can't believe I haven't thought of it until recently. I was advised to do so by my family, but I didn't believe I was right for the job. I've been working as a temp since January, so I thought it would be better to be in a stable work environment. (I forwarded my resume to someone at a hospital in case they are recruiting for positions in the Financing Department.) I'm glad I'm not the only one around here that desires to engage in jobs such as yours. I find myself in leadership positions one day, and despite my impediment, I won't allow it to best me. The only time my speech starts blocking is when I present presentations hastily or during conversation on the phone. I'm curious, were you ever confronted in regards to your impediment by your co-workers or supervisor(s)? If so, why did they do so?
