You’re right in that it’s almost impossible to display confidence when you can’t speak. My stutter was pretty bad in school, so I tried as hard as I could to be smarter than everyone else. Now in my job, I strive to be better than everyone else. It’s very demanding but at least it gives me confidence that I’m not inadequate.
