I work as an English teacher. Due to my stutter, I sometimes have problems in classroom management, especially with students with problematic behaviors. Having seen this issue, the guidance counselor in my school once told me “if I were you, I would stop teaching and find another job”. That was really heart breaking to me no matter how “good” intentions she had. I stopped talking to her.
