I have also noticed this with my stutter, and Iv have been slowly doing this technique too. Also I would consider my stutter “low to moderate” but there are some words that I absolutely cannot get out. But have also been using another technique that has actually helped me a bit recently. That is, let’s say you know you are going to stutter with the word “work” and the sentence you’re trying to say is “I have to go to work” try to convince your mind that you have a stutter with “have” instead of “work”. And if you manage to pay more attention to “have” you will forget about your stutter with “work” and it will just come out. I have come to the conclusion that my stutter is more anxiety based and over thinking certain words. So when I don’t over think words, they manage to just come out. Hopefully it helps anyone.
