Virtual Reality as possible treatment? Hi! I've been reading over this subreddit for a while but never posted. My type of stuttering is based on social situations. I stutter on words that have a build up. I stutter mostly in situations like ordering food at dinner table, ordering movie tickets, fast food drive-thru, and phone calls..etc. However I can easily say those words fine when I'm by myself. My mantra is, if I were to be comfortable in these situations, then I wouldn't stutter (just like practicing a presentation). My friend showed me his Virtual Reality goggles that came with his phone and it turns out people use Virtual Reality to practice their presentation skills. Do you think it's possible to immerse oneself in these situations via VR and conversate through a mic/headset to slowly get rid of stuttering? Just a thought.
