Yeah stuttering is big disadvantage. Nevertheless there are a lot of other more important traits at work. In a lot of jobs speaking is actually a small part of the job. Sure it will take you more time to say something but you can be: more efficient than others, more reliable, put more hours, be smarter than others, have better education, have hard skills others don’t, learn faster, dress better, have better attitude, good work ethic etc. I stutter quite a bit in my job. Yet I have been told that I am the best employee out of the people at the same position. Why? I deliver on time. I have a good attitude. I can work on my own and learn on my own requiring very little attention from supervisors which they really value. Most of us stutterers have been afflicted with one of the worst curses mankind knows. On the other hand, by and large we are smarter, tougher and more capable than other people. In work we can absolute outshine everyone else.
