It simply cannot be cured, as hard as that is to hear its true. I'm 19 and have stuttered for as long as I can remember. My stutter is much worse in certain situations such as phone calls, ordering food/drink etc because I also have social anxiety. It's a vicious, never ending cycle of embarrassment, feeling of worthlessness and then depression that I deal with every day. I don't want your little girl to be like me (I have an 8 year old sister). You need to encourage her to participate in groups such as a local sports club or a club at her school. She will mix with other children and make friends as well as experience what it feels like to be picked on by other children. Do everything possible to give her confidence in herself and make sure she knows that just because she has a stutter she is just as special and just as important as everyone else.
