Should I avoid eye contact for a split second if it helps? Hi! I have been doing speech blocks for half a year now, and I decided to seriously address this habit. From what I read, it is not recommended to do any rituals before speaking out. I noticed that averting my gaze for a moment from the listener makes it feel easier to initiate speech, then I quickly return to looking at them. Another thing I noticed is focusing on breath which kinda helps. Should I force myself out of these rituals if they help?
