I had a slightly similar experience and kicked myself for not following up. (Had a minor heart procedure with 6 hrs in recovery room, unable to move. Nurse forgot to give me call button and I blocked for a while trying to get her attention . Eventually got my phone cried to my family about “how I can’t talk to the nurse”. It was a Covid spike time and I’m sure she thought I meant *she was ignoring me*. She was super cold to me afterwards.) Id try to find a private, but not-creepy way to let your dentist know.
