I know what you mean when it comes to speaking P sounds, but I still can't find a similarity in how it feels to form a P sound when speaking and how it feels to form the beginning of a sound when playing. When speaking a P sound the tongue is down and out of the way. When attacking a note when playing *most of the time*, unless you're playing in a very legato style, the tongue is up at the beginning and then releases the air stream. It sounds like you're putting too much tension in your embouchure and you need to use more air. My instructors always said the answer to better playing starts with more air.
