I had this convo with my doc not too long ago. She mentioned beta blockers, benzos & anti anxiety medication. Due to my high risk job (I work at heights, near power lines and drive D class trucks) I cannot comprise my hypervigilance for the safety of myself and others, so I currently take 75mg of Zoloft in conjunction with weekly adult speech therapy. I’m also seeking out public speaking groups such as toast masters to build my confidence in speaking to strangers.
