I wouldn't compare stuttering to being gay. Even if you are accepted, stuttering (if it's severe enough) can prevent effective communication. Being gay doesn't do that. If you're gay that just refers to what you're attracted to. It has nothing to do with an affliction that can hamper how you function in everday life (barring some countries where being gay is a crime or effectively a crime). But again, that has nothing to do with an actual disability. That's just human ideology.
