You can absolutely be viewed as a person with excellent communication skills while also being a person with speech dysfluency, especially if you put a sustained, lifelong effort into pushing your comfort zone as mentioned (and don't also need attention for some other kind of social communication disorder, like autism, for instance). That said, I wouldn't necessarily recommend pursuing a career where *fluency* is essential (e.g. oral translator).
