Had an otoplasty done, stuttering massively improved (basically gone). Is it really all about confidence? I had protruding (sticking out) ears. I had an otoplasty (surgery to pin them back) done last week. I first had a bandage on my head for a week and now it’s off… yesterday I could finally take it off and my stuttering almost disappeared.. Even today, this morning, basically ALL my sentences were fluent, I don’t think I had a single stutter. I believe the surgery massively improved my self-confidence. Do you believe we stutter because our self-confidence is low?
