Sorry to hear about the remark your dad made. My parents weren’t “accepting” of my stutter either and never made any effort to make me feel better about it or make me feel understood. I’m an adult now and still have a good relationship with them which makes this lack of empathy even more hurtful. Anyway, don’t stress the interview so much. Any job worth having has a boss that doesn’t care about the stutter. One of the bosses at my last job never made me feel bad about it at all and would let the crickets chirp forever while I screwed up all my words and went blue in the face trying to get words out. Everyone has a place in the world. Even us. Excited to hear you have a job interview (in this climate especially). Let us know how it goes.
