I didn’t mean to come across as ableist but I have often heard the word “cure” used by stutterers on this sub.. others call it a disability. . I have ADHD and shit yeah if someone could “cure” that I’d be all on board. People would say I’m being “ableist” for saying that. But IMO it has been like a disease. It has drastically hampered my personal and professional happiness. I’d be willing to say a lot of stutterers feel the same about stuttering . I don’t see anyone as “less than,” whether they have ADHD, stutter. . I’m not saying a PERSON needs to be cured, but some might want a CONDITION to be eliminated. That’s all I was trying to say.
