seeing people make fun of joe biden’s stutter upsets me so much i am seeing so many people on social media making fun of joe biden’s stutter and using it as an excuse to claim that he is incompetent. regardless of political opinion and whether you support biden, it’s not okay to make fun of someone’s disability and to claim that a stutter makes someone bad at their job is simply untrue. one of my biggest insecurities, as a person who stutters, is that my stutter makes me sound stupid or incompetent at work. if people were saying this about me in my job, it would knock my confidence so much. again regardless of whether you support biden or not, having a president who has a speech impediment is so inspiring to many people. i know that as i child, it would’ve really helped my confidence seeing a person with a stutter in such a high position. that’s why it upsets me so much because i have to tell always myself that my stutter does not affect how well i do my job. joe biden will probably never see those comments making fun of his stutter but a young, insecure person with a speech impediment might.
