I think that's pretty well supported that it can be a traumatic event, but I think that'd be a different type of stutter because it's not neurological, just mental. Yeah, I grew up in a household like that too, unfortunately, that didn't believe in therapy. Everyone reacts differently to traumatic things and the older generation just doesn't seem to understand that.
