I feel that speaking with an accent that is not your own is similar to singing. I not super familiar with the science, but I remember reading that singing activates and utilized different parts of the brain that smooths out the fluency in a stutters speech. Someone else on this sub has also recommended memorizing and reciting your favorite lines in movies. Trying to replicate the original actor/actress’s performance probably activates the same areas in the brain.
