I did them on and off for about 12 years. I still try but I lack consistency. Additionally the most common breath watching type meditation is really hard for me, because as soon as I close my eyes negative thoughts and feelings start bombarding me. I have lots of anxiety inside me unfortunatelly. Huberman's podcast on meditation gave me a couple of hints how to deal with it, so I might give meditation another try. In addition to meditation, I also do progressive muscle relaxation and light static stretching the night(s) before any upcoming stressful events. Plus avoiding any heavy workouts obviously ;) Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Recently I've been also prescribed SSRIs and Propranolol (some people here claimed it helped them with stuttering/anxiety). I'm not really into drugs and I know they won't solve psychological issues, but at this point in my life, I'm just curious and at the end of the day I think I would regretted not giving it a try when I had the opportunity. Maybe it helps.
