I haven't seen that on here..? I have seen people say your true statement "you are in control of how you feel about how others react to your stutter." If you are open with people, and explain that you have a stutter, people understand. The only reason you'll hear whispers or get comments is when people *don't know* why you're talking or acting a certain way. You'll still get dickheads who'll make comments anyway, and those people aren't worth your own time. But these people are very rare, and are becoming more rare as more people become aware of this communication disorder. So it's nothing about controlling other people, you can't do that. Why would anyone even say that?
