I completely understand your post. Very few people in my life knows that I stutter. Honestly I struggle to tell people because like you said it seems like a first world problem and also because it’s so diminishing to hear others tell you to slow down or think before you speak. I feel like most people still equate stuttering with mental illness, intellect or personal fortitude and I hate that.
