I hear that slow down alot or sometimes.....folks mean well but are simply uninformed what a true stutter problem is and what kind words can help or hinder....I saw a friend I have not seen in forever today and she even told me to "slow down" because I was stuttering a lot....I pretended I didnt hear them say it! YES...I have gone to speech therapy many times....all i ever got was temporary improvement followed by a relapse!
