My stutter got worse when I started graduate school as well. I was quite nervous especially because I was an international student in a new country. And yes, I completely understand feeling down because of not being able to do basic things like ordering a burrito. I was struggling to ask for help with a few documents and it really put me down. I would really suggest starting small by talking to yourself in your room a lot. After that, you can come out and practise talking to strangers to really get used to social anxiety that comes from having a stutter. What I did was, I practised ordering stuff from a food cart and then I started talking to the food cart guy a lot more. Then I started going to restaurants and ordering food. As my stutter improved, I was just so relieved that I could get the basic stuff done and I just went with the flow and started talking a lot more with my classmates and colleagues at my part time job. I still stutter a bit, but I'm not as worried and sad as I was before.
