Doctors don't know shit about stuttering. I mean, most speech-language pathologists don't know much either, but if you can please try to find a board certified therapist in fluency disorders. My biggest suggestion is finding someone truely knowledgeable and qualifiedin fluency disorders, because most speech therapists won't be able to help you much.
