I can comment from personal experience that my younger sister (10 year age gap) used to just around all day on her phone or iphone when she was a teenager and didn’t want to talk to anyone, do anything or go anywhere and she doesn’t stutter, so it could be a teenage thing as that she has grown up now, she has become very social but on the flip side, because of my stutter, I dread being in social situations sometimes and prefer to be alone at home but I still socialize with family and friends and do go outside to do things, although I need to be pushed out the door The most important part I want to address is that talk therapy (I assume you mean pyschosocial therapy) should not be brushed off due to stuttering or as you say “forced”. Psychosocial therapy sometimes have to be pushed as there may be resistance due to any mood issues that prevent the person from wanting to seek help. This is speaking from experience as a stutterer and a person with depression and anxiety, speaking to a psych therapist is one of the safest area for me to talk as I am not being judged for my stuttering. To me it feels the same as talking to a speech therapist
