The Stuttering Paradox So one of the best advices I’ve heard is to accept your stutter and to stop chasing fluency all the time. Ironically that helps a lot with fluency. But then you’ll/I’ll get used to fluency and start getting afraid of stuttering again. I guess you just have to remind yourself constantly that it’s okay to stutter no matter how much you stutter. Or it could be because deep down, I’m not really accepting my stutter and just trying to trick my brain into accepting it so I can achieve fluency. Maybe the acceptance needs to become fundamental. Anyone any input, advice or experience around this?
