It's not a stutter, it's an avoidance behavior you've learned to try and hide your stutter. Should you be doing it? It allows you to hide. If you want to continue to hide and don't mind adding another irregular pattern to your speech that is your choice. But if you ever want to stop doing it, it will be require a concerted effort and work to unlearn this behavior that you have trained for years (presumably)
