I stutter and my 5 year old stutters. The biggest advice I will give is that make sure that he knows its ok stutter. I was never told that my whole childhood and it made me feel like I was broken and I needed to be fixed. Therapy will be more impactful if he has a more positive view, and less fear towards stuttering. Don't feel terrible that you cant afford therapy right now. If you are giving him love and support, thats better than any therapy can give. You have not ruined your child's life. If you learn anything in this sub, know that many people on here have learned to manage the stuttering and have prosperous lives. This all begins with your support; not necessarily therapy.
