People don't realize how disabling stuttering can be for us. It's tough to order from drive through windows, talk on the phone, use any of those horrible automated voice recognition systems, even ask for directions. It impacts all of our interaction with other humans. Mind boggling when you think about it-every innteraction with another human is impacted by stuttering! It's not a disability in the traditional sense; we generally have working limbs, no obvious impairments, but it is indeed a burden we carry with us every day.
