Hi! It's okay to take time for yourself and speak lesser or not speak for a while (I did that too) but remember that one day you will have to speak again and it will be difficult, I noticed after not speaking for sometime It was harder than before and even a small word was a problem. You can say to your family to respect you, you can text them explaining it instead of talking, so they understand that this hurts you. Your self-steem is the key to the stutter, or at least it's on me. The more I trust myself the less I stutter!! Also you could try to make new friends? People that will not judge you as they don't know you that long like your closest friends, you know? Don't worry, you got this! It goes better I assure you\^\^
