You're being completely unreasonable, but I can see that it's entertaining to you, especially the namecalling. You should act more mature if you want to claim to be mature. Nevertheless, for the sake of maintaining the point, I'll keep it up. - You wish to guide people away from speech therapy, when it is one of the proven things that actually work for so many. That's selfish of you. Lots of people have the wrong impression of speech therapy. We can't have people like you propagating bad info. You've conducted no study, so you should not be generalizing about it. Especially not when your understanding of stutter is as lackluster as this (from a previous comment of yours): >My family has always treated the challenges I've faced being a stutterer like a mild irritation, oh but you don't stutter so badly, just speak slowly.. granted **I don't have a relationship of any depth with any of them and never have, which in of itself is part and parcel of why I stutter.** We don't know exactly how stutter works, but we do know a thing or two about how it _doesn't_ work. And it definitely doesn't work the way you portray there. Again, that's just bad info. Stutter is complex and doesn't just come about like that (otherwise the percentage worldwide would be much, much higher). Note how your family doesn't understand what stutter is, and they don't understand that the tricks they suggest aren't working for you. This is why it's so important to have _good_ info. It helps us - and others who don't know enough yet.
