What is this condition called officially?

What is this condition called officially? Is "stutter" the official name for the symptom we suffer from? How do speech pathology/therapy professionals call it? Is there a diagnosis "code"? Why I ask: say you want to let your (potential?) employer know you stutter. If you just mention "oh btw I stutter" the HR person will, in most cases I suppose, have no idea it's a medical condition, a handicap. (Or a cop, coach, contractor, court, etc.) I feel like telling anybody that I (really struggle with a) "stutter", makes zero difference, as if stutter was not a diagnosis/condition/handicap relevant to anything, except being annoying to them. For example, if you Google "obesity handicap" the first page of search results includes government information (CDC, social security, NIH). If you search "stutter handicap", no such luck, you mostly get links to support organizations. So if one wants to say that hey I stutter and it's not my hobby, is there an official resource to point people to?
