Do you guys get exhausted by slowing down your speech?

Do you guys get exhausted by slowing down your speech? My main cause for my stuttering is that i talk to fast & don't take time to get my words together, but i noticed that when i try to slow down i become so tired and end up speaking extremely fast n stutter all over again.
