Stuttering can go away but you gotta watch out if that is just temporary. It is not unheard of that one's stuttering goes away out of blue but it relapses at some time afterwards. Not pouring cold water but if it relapses don't panic. Stuttering can be lifelong if it doesn't go away after your linguistic system develops compensatively. So don't feel disappointed about it.
