Thanks again for your response! Sorry if it seemed like I was trying to avoid doing the assignment--I've already completed the assignment (or at least the pseudostuttering portion of it). I was prompted to reach out to folks who stutter after some of my classmates and I were talking about the assignment. The idea of going to a busy place and pseudostuttering was brought up by another user, and I definitely think that would be a better experience from a learning perspective.
