>This indicates me that we stutterers are not the problem, but the society is. I think - respectfully - that this is a false dichotomy. There's no need for an "either/or" here. Stuttering is a phenomenon that can manifest in various ways. It will vary from situation to situation how it expresses itself. Sometimes it doesn't register as a _problem_, but it can indeed appear as one. Stutter thusly differs in its characterization depending on the context. This is just to say: We shouldn't blame society _in general_ for this phenomenon that has landed upon us. We should only blame that which rightly deserves blame, and this will be up to the specifics of any given situation. But sometimes there's nothing to blame.
