I think a stutter is not seen as a disability, because it is kind of psychological. There is nothing physically or mentally wrong with us stutterers. For example, people stutter even when they never stutter in front of anyone else when they feel tremendous fear. Or an introvert might stutter when asking the extroverted kids at school to come to a party out of fear of embarrassment. But because there is nothing wrong with us medically, we "unfortunately" just have to get over it, and learn to get over our stutter. If you want a job dearly, age is never a limit. There is not a time limit. I suggest you should every day try techniques to improve your stutter, to try and give yourself a better shot at your ideal career. I have a stutter myself, a particularly horrible one at times, so I can completely understand your frustration. However, it is always better to keep on trying rather than giving up! If you do give up, the regrets could be massive later on.
