I feel like there's no point in learning a new language if you have a stutter

I feel like there's no point in learning a new language if you have a stutter I was learning French a while back for about 4-5 months and was really enjoying the experience but whenever I tried to show off what I've learned to my family I would stutter even more than when I did in English! Anyone else have this issue? I honestly felt like there was no point in even trying further if you're just going to end up stuttering in another language. Sorry to sound so pessimistic, it was just a bleak realization I had one day when studying it.
