I think we've all had the same issue. Now I usually try to initiate it before the conversation by saying "Hey my name is Vince, what is yours?" For me it takes so much stress off the conversation always having to worry about if they are going to ask it or not. And not only that, it helps me build confidence through out the conversation. Other people say "my name is Vince" when asked the question first, instead of trying to say "V-V-Vince"
