That's great. I'm really glad you're accessing mental health care for this. I have had a stutter since I was 6 and it was trauma induced as well. Speech therapists hadn't helped me at all, but in the beginning of my college years, I became a part of a mental health internship circle and just being a part of that affirmative and aware environment helped me a lot to overcome the anxiety surrounding my stutter. Something that I was told by my peers and seniors is that once I accept the fact that I stutter, it becomes a bit easier. Now, I have reclaimed stuttering as a part of my personality and it helps me a lot to speak more confidently and thus, stutter less. I do get stuck quite often but that confidence helps me to break out into speech quicker than I used to. I hope your therapy sessions help you likewise and even more than that. Good luck!
