The treatment is psychology basically where it is no known cure but may be able to help you accept your stutter. There's no real known be all end all technique so to speak and I think the best ones are found online anyway honestly. You can probably find people's experiences with speech therapy here or elsewhere. I would recommend doing your thing and going for it. No one expects a total professional at their craft at first and I think with stutterers, the more we do it, the more normalized it gets. Once upon a time we may not be able to talk with one person and then we are comfortable with them and don't worry over them anymore. I think situations can be similar. I couldn't talk on the phone for the life of me when I was younger for most situations. Eventually I had to and now I don't give it a second thought. You sound like you are already well on your way and have an awesome backing.
